Urban Ecosystems

How can we design solutions for the urban environment that activate citizens to help create green urban spaces where pollinators can thrive?

With the rise of the population expected to be living in cities in 2030, the urban environment needs to be designed for sustainability and livable for all the cohabiting organisms. The scope of the project was to understand what the possibilities are for citizens to be an active part in making cities green and allowing bees and other pollinators to thrive.  What role does technology play in spreading a message of sustainability?

This project was in close collaboration with green and blue rooftop expert; Rooftop revolution & urban city lab Marineterrein Living Lab Amsterdam.
