How can we effectively monitor diversity and inclusion without losing the richness of the subject while fostering a meaningful and engaging discussion about the topic? What kind of monitoring system should Hogeschool van Amsterdam (HvA) have?


The imperative for advancing diversity and inclusion across sectors, notably in higher education and research, is universally acknowledged. This encompasses efforts by HvA and the Diversity and Inclusion Team [We] as a group to raise awareness and understanding while implementing robust monitoring systems. Such systems are vital for tracking progress, pinpointing areas for enhancement, and ensuring accountability in cultivating inclusive environments. Enhancing awareness through education, training, and open dialogue is fundamental to fostering a culture of inclusion. A diverse team like us is uniquely equipped to address these challenges as we can leverage our own diversity in driving effective initiatives forward.
